Is this game still being developed?

At the beginning of the year we were informed that TSM would not receive new events, but nothing related to news within the game (other than events).

I saw here on the forum that there is a team behind The Sims Mobile. What does this team do? Will we still have new things in the game? Or is it a team just to make sure the game works?

EA has announced that there will be multiple ways to play The Sims in the future. Will The Sims Mobile be part of that? Is that game still in development?
