How to make your sims 4 household bigger than 8

Hi I read that if I went into sims 4 gameplay that there would be a maximum household option then you just have to type in how many you want I don’t have this option please help x

There is no such setting You probably confused it with the setting for total Sims in the game.

To have more than 8 Sims and Pets in a household you would have to use a Mod. If you decide to do this make sure to read about the caveats to this.
