How to chat in parties in the Sims Mobile?

How to chat in parties in the Sims Mobile? Or can we chat without going to party with friends?

There are age restrictions for mobile games. 

Chat is not available for minors, so if you gave a wrong age when you started the game, you will have to install the game app again and choose the correct age.

Save your game progress before uninstalling the game. If you don't, you will loss all your progress. Here you can read how to do this: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-mobile/save-your-game-progress-in-the-sims-mobile/

Also, write down your Player ID or take a screenshot of it and keep it somewhere safe. That way you have it if you need help but can’t load the game. https://help.ea.com/en/help/the-sims/the-sims-mobile/find-your-player-id-in-the-sims-mobile/

There should be a blue 'Chat' button on your Party tab. Tap on it to join the chat when you join a party. The chat is only available in parties and you can only chat with players who have joined the party.

Thanks for answering but when I joined a party (wedding party), I couldn't see any 'Chat' button. I could only see the 'Attend Party' button which was disabled (gray in color). I am on level 17. So how can I chat?

I’ve been having issues with chat since the recent update and one before it. I’m 21+ and gave my correct age but still have issues with chat not being available. Any solutions?
