When you attempt a risky action during an event, once the bar is very high (when your sim says "I’m feeling REALLY confident" or I’m feeling super confident") - it shouldn’t fail. If the bar is mid way (when your sim says "I’m feeling a little confident") then ok let that be a gamble. It’s extremely annoying to waste 3 energy points on an action when your sim is super confident and have it fail.
I’m curious who’s idea this was as there is literally no point to this feature of the game. Is it maybe so players will spend simCash/cupcakes to rush through the event? Because failing multiple risky actions when the game says I have a high chance of success doesn’t make me spend resources in the game, it makes me quit the game in frustration and not return for several hours.
If the goal is user engagement, kindly remove this pointless and annoying feature.

Soooo frustrating! And there is absolutely no point to it. It’s like the feature exists just to annoy players. There’s absolutely not one single player who thinks, "I love when I waste 3 energy points failing at a risky action the game told me I’m super likely to succeed in" So then why the *expletive* is the feature there!?
Someone needs to remind the developers that games are meant to be fun. Their obsession with making practically everything about the game entirely based on "luck" (STS, the new duckie event, heirlooms, risky actions etc) is beyond irritating. If I wanted to gamble, I’d go to an actual casino and at least have a shot at winning real money, not some silly virtual prizes.
Oh and that happened to me as well - sometimes if you send your sim back home, and come back to the event, the stars will show up. Or try closing the game and reopening - basically anything to "jumpstart" the actions into showing up. Hope that helps a bit, and thanks for reading my earlier rant haha
