Emotions and consequences

So, the emotion system on The Sims 4 is a cool concept but i think it lacks more negative consequences. The positive emotions are way too often and the negative emotions such as sadness, angry and boredom do not occur very often which result in a dull gameplay(constant happy modlet) So what the devs could do to fix it? Maybe they could make so that negative emotions each gives you +5 and take way longer to go away...for exemple, if a close friend dies maybe the effect of sadness could last for a weak with +5 on the first two days and +3 on the last three days... same goes to other emotions like anger... maybe the effect lasts the whole day and other emotions like flirty and happy are way harder to come by. What you guys think? Do someone 3else agrees that the emotions system is a little weird and do not work as it should?Are those simple tweaks that the devs can fix on a patch or the devs would need to make too many changes in order to achieve this?
