Autohotkey is your best friend for remaping keys

Tried the AutoHotkey suggestion and it worked...

If you're a little computer savvy, to do something like change the Shift key to a Ctrl key in game, download AutoHotkey, and create a file on your desktop with the extension .ahk and the following lines in it:

#IfWinActive ahk_exe TS4_x64.exe
Shift::Ctrl
#IfWinActive

Then run it as administrator.

That code would make your keyboard's Shift key function as a Ctrl key only for the Sims 4 window, and allow you to use Shift to rotate the screen in Sims 4. To stop the script you can end it in task manager or restart your computer.

@jpkarlsen I don't play FPS however I use WASD and most other key shortcuts. The only time I use the mouse (or mouse pad in my case) is to select things. The only problem key I want to change is the M. The amount of times I accidentally press it when using the < key to rotate is super annoying

It's a PC game... and in 2020 it STILL can't rebind keys.

The V key on my mouse is assigned to be a programmable shortcut, it is a universal choice for all my games!

Apart from the "sims 4" all games have a key configuration menu, in a logical sense, easy for the user?

Have you looked in the Default.ini file? There's a [GameplayKeys] section which is blank but if you can figure out what values to enter for the game to successfully read them please do share!
