Cannot Compose Comedy Routine

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Max out comedy skill. 2. Select any computer. 3. Choose Comedy > Compose [Length] Routine
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing. The options pie closes, but no action is queued.
What do you expect to see? Sim would commence working at computer.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I am at level 9 in the Entertainer/Comedian career. I maxed out my Comedy skill and can no longer compose routines. This leaves me unable to complete the Joke Star aspiration, or use this action to contribute to my daily goal. I have tried multiple computers, including selling a computer and buying a new one, buying a different model of computer, and replacing the entire desk-chair-computer as a unit. My sim can write jokes and practice writing. I know there is no spell caster conflict as I only have the base game.

@akaGhostWolfe Does that go for short, long and medium ? How many have you written (there's a limited amount)

Only Medium and Long Routines appear as options, neither work, Short Routine has been gone for some time. I have not counted the exact number of routines, but I believe that Long Routines should still be under the limit, if not Medium.

@akaGhostWolfe Could you test a new Sim if they have the same issue to narrow down if it's Sim related.

Also test a different household if it occurs with another Sim

Having now double checked, I have indeed hit the routine limit. I was not aware that the limit was so low for Long and Short Routines.
