Can you tear down your house and rebuild it?

I was thinking of tearing my house down and rebuilding from scratch, but can you change room types when you start over? Just wondering.

@AmySupFan Yes, you can change room shape anytime you want. Tap on a room in build mode and then tap on any other shape to change it.

@AmySupFanYes, if you go in build mode and store the room, everything in the room automatically gets stored, too. But be careful, in the past people have complained that when they store things the quick way like that, that some things (like from events thats can't be easily repurchased) have disappeared. Does anyone know if that bug has been fixed, or is it still an ongoing problem? @SalixCat do you know?
