Can we not customize Sims Children when they grow up?

My Sims family is multi-cultural and the default random Sims don’t incorporate the look of their heritage. The DNA only lets you customize skin color but facial features no. This is only for the children non playable.

the game should be 100% customizable when it comes to sims!
