Can’t move decorations where I want them [ Edited ]

I’ve played The Sims for years with the exception of 4 so I know this isn’t a new thing but it frustrates me that I can’t hang a tapestry over my couch yet I can hang a mirror and a picture over a dresser.  I can’t hang a curtain because my guitar takes up four squares, so I have to make the room bigger to accommodate it.  I understand it’s a simulation but it’s not realistic decorating.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the game very much but just needed to vent this morning.✌️

Same! I do get it, around a guitar they need a bit more space to rock out. It gives it a bit more of a challenge to decorate for sure!
