Fifa 2023 playing World Cup. Please explain.

i was playing France against France and the other team was doing circles around me I could not even catch-up to them - I was left in the dust anyone please explain is it setting is it something m missing?

- why does the goal keeper at times moves away from the goal net. 

- why do my players start running to the sides and give free pathway to the opposing team so they can score

- why does my player stop to give heads-up to the opponent

- why does the same team plays at same level as me and than next game they are on steroids and I can’t even catch up to the players
