Why can't NHL22 be on pc?

Let's not forget that some of the PC versions aren't even up to date with the next-gen console versions.   When FIFA can't even get the updates it should have there is no hope for NHL.  Thing is with NHL they just need to make a really great PC game with mod options for updating players and such and then they wouldn't need to make another for another 4-5 years.

If Madden can arrive on PC the eyar after Frostbite, then NHL can, as well.

@bruhmoment289 for the love of god please port NHL to PC. I know how it works it's really not that difficult and would do nothing but increase your profit and satisfy your customers. Oh wait it's EA makes sense. ADD PC RELEASE FOR 23' FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

This is a lot more difficult and time consuming than people think. So much so that it would mean putting a hold on the console version while this port is completed. We can't ignore the console players to create the PC version that would have a far smaller community. We would love to have this game on as many platforms as possible, but it also needs to be worth all work it takes to do so. There is far more involved in making this happen than people are assuming.

@EA_Aljo How much of a hold would it be? As a console only person I wouldn’t be willing to not have this game to play just to cater to the less populated PC users.

Also I’d like the option to not play PC users if a PC version exists.

@EA_Aljo Are the project managers really telling you that console vs PC development is a zero-sum game, even after the conversion to Frostbite? If this is the problem, then it’s up to EA Vancouver to own it. Don’t try to pit PC and console players against each other.

Back in the day when Kickstarter was huge they could have put something for like $60 to get the game put on PC like 2 years later.  I think whatever the goal that would be needed would have been met and they could have hired on more people for that task.  With how developers talk about how similar consoles and PCs are these days it shouldn't be that hard.  Yes more configurations are on PC but it's not like they do much work on NHL series throughout the year anyway besides their precious cash cow.

Company makes billions upon billions each year but them greedy shareholders don't want to better the game environment if it means they have to get slightly less.  If MS didn't buy Act/Blizz then EA would have been a good buy and we'd probably have NHL on PC.

So just today Madden 23 was announced for PS4™, PS5™, Xbox One, Xbox X|S and PC.   The old gen systems and PC system will NOT be getting the next-gen features.  This is what would happen with the PC edition of NHL.   You'd get 1 year of it being up to date with stuff and after that it would just be the same exact game but with a new number slapped on it.  So while the idea of PC sounds amazing it wouldn't be executed by the lack of effort/funding on the other side.

Seriously?? Millions of people would play NHL simply because of the reason that they can't afford the sport in real life etc. And don't get me started on ice hockey support in northern hemisphere, it's a known fact it's the most popular winter sports. This just proves how little EA actually care or even listen to their community.
