Regional lock on laungages. (Polish, Russian and Czech only)

hello, I have the same issue and no one is doing anything about it.

the thing is, I use windows which means it requires the EA app to launch the game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game but they only gave me three options for the languages none of which is English.

so I tried to change my device and I downloaded the entire thing on my brother's macbook which uses origin and it allowed me to install it in English (the base game + all my packs). to my surprise when I opened my game on his macbook it was, in fact, in English.

I've reached out to EA on twitter but they keep ignoring me, I tried the EA help operator but they have no explanation for this issue, and here I am, looking through the sims official website, but again, no luck. 

so please, if you have an update on your situation share it with me. It's really frustrating to play the sims 4 with a language that I don't understand.

If you have a language-locked version, you can contact live support to get a different language version added to your account, or to get the language-locked version removed- we aren't able to do this for you on the forums as we can't access your account details.

Please reach back out to live support and be sure to attach this conversation when you reach out there so the live support has a conversation to reference when you speak with them. Let me know if you have any issues getting in contact with the live support team.

I can’t reach live support. Their options are email or call. I can’t call because it’s only for US and Canada, so I emailed them this issue along with a screenshot of this conversation. I thank you again, and I hope they reach out soon.

If you're looking to call or chat with an advisor instead of emailing, you can change the country at the top right corner of the help site to your location, or pick the closest location to you.

@ann_mola How did you install it on English on your brother's MacBook? I have installed on the same PC but still only with Russian/Polish language option

Having the same issue.

Now after I repaired the game today I can no longer install it in English, like I had it since the day I bought it in an English only region

My app is in English, my PC is in English but the game can only be in Russian, Czech or Polish. What an "upgrade", EA.

Sims 4 won't launch/install in English.

I've had the game for YEARS. Over 800 hours total recorded in my EA app.

I had to repair my game through the app and then it launched in Czech. I've had to uninstall the ENTIRE game just to change the language, but I can't even set it to English. It's only giving me Czech, Polish or Russian.

Origin is now dead, I can't launch it from there, or change the settings as it forces you to download the EA app when you launch it. I've spoken to live chat report twice, both time they have had no answer or fix. Just to wait until the devs fix it. How long will that be? Months?

I just want to play my game.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

@LadyMephisto and @epicleahhhx  You'll need to contact EA customer support for help in removing the language-locked version of Sims 4 from your account.  Please see the accepted solution on page one for more information.

Edit to update on this issue:

After TWO customer support advisors informed me that "they can no longer fix the issue via my account" because it would "hamper the investigation" of a "known server issue" while they worked out a "bug fix" for a "long standing problem" with no ETA, I finally got an awesome support advisor who actually checked my product code for Digital Deluxe and found that it was for the wrong region, and offered a workaround by disabling the Deluxe key so a new one could be reissued in the right region.

I could have been waiting months (or more) for NO REASON.

If you're contacting support for this, REQUEST THAT THEY CHECK YOUR PRODUCT CODES ASAP so you're not left waiting on a fix that won't happen.
