how to change the language with the new ea app????

Hmm okay. Then it mush be something else that decides the language.

I have The Sims 4 installed on one a computer there I installed it through origin originally and it's still in Swedish. But then I installed it on a different computer it's in English and I can't figure out how to get it to Swedish. The EA app is set on English because it's the only language i can choose that I understand and the windows is set to Swedish, so I just assumed that it was the EA app setting that decided the game language, but if its polish for you it doesn't make any sense.

Maybe the language is set from previous origin settings that is still on the computer somehow? On the other computer is did a fresh install including EA app.

I haven't played The Sims 4 in a while but was really excited for the new Expansion Pack. After purchasing it via a retailer I discovered Origin no longer works so had to switch to the EA app. I couldn't play The Sims at all, I got a notification stating I wasn't qualified to run The Sims in the current language (f089e35b:tonsofzeros). I repaired the game and it launched, but in English, eventhough I always played in Dutch with Origin. I learned the only way to change the language is to reinstall the game, but when I click the download button and get to choose the language preference, I can only chose English in the dropdown menu. 

As stated, I previously played The Sims in Dutch. I checked the new Expansion Pack and it comes with all languages as well. What is going wrong here?

I have read your reply but it doesn't work for me since I don't have access to Origin any more. It was deleted and replaced by the new EA App. I just reinstalled the game in the EA App and the option to choose language wasn't there. I have always played it in Swedish and that's how I want to continue my Sims experience. This sucks to be honest :-/

Same thing here. I've spent weeks trying to communicate with EA support, but have received nothing but useless answers that does not solve the problem at all. The "best" answer is the one I got now - post in the forums. As if that would help.

I have always been able to switch between Swedish (for my daughter) and English (for me) in Origin. Now that Origin is force-removed, there is no way to switch. So either my daughter can play the game, or me - not both. Because EA decided to force everybody to use the inferior EA app. 

Please, fix this. And please do something about your "support" that apparently gets paid by the numer of tickets they reply, not the number of tickets they solve.

can someone please let me know how to change the language to english?

i don't get it. i played the sims a few months ago and it was in english, and now that i installed it again, it's in czech for some reason. i live in poland and first installed the game when it was free, so i don't see what's the issue? i know about the language lock thing, but why poland?? not only is the sims 4 FREE now, but it was slightly more expensive in poland than in the usa before they made it free. is there a way to change the language?

i really don't see the point of having a region lock for a free game. and the fact that i played in english before ON THE SAME ACCOUNT is just baffling to me.

@attercoppa  I've merged your post with a longer thread for this issue.  Perhaps another copy of Sims 4 was added to your account, this time one that's language-locked, and it's preventing you from using the English-language version you had previously.  You'll need to contact support to get this fixed.  That would also be the case if you didn't have the English version any longer, so it's your next move here either way.  Please see the accepted solution on page one for more information.

Yeah, there's no way to change the game language in the EA App. In Origin we could change the language as easy as changing slippers. I prefer to play in English, since that's what I've always done since back in early 2000, plus it gives me the same vocabulary as most of the forums, and sites I visit. However, when I have my grandkids over, I used to change the game language to Swedish for them, but that's no longer possible with the EA App. We can only change the language in the application, not in the game itself. If we can, they have managed to hide that option very well, because I have not been able to find it.

I've bought the Russian version long time ago and now I want to change the language to English. I wasn't bewared by company that my version is unchangeable.

What should I do? I can't buy the new addons (and I want to), I can't change the language, so what is the solution?

@EA_Solaire I already asked the Support team, they send me here the previous solution is not possible for me because my games was bought long time ago, I can't have a refund for them
