Hi! Did you try to launch the game again a few days after these steps? I have the same issue. Even if I get the correct language after reinstalling at the first launch, the error "the game is not installed correctly" returns the next day. Restoring (repairing) is required again, and after repairing, the language changes to the first one from the list of accessible languages.

So I recently moved to poland from sweden and I wanted to download sims again on my laptop but noticed  that I was nable to change the language to english, instead there was only czech, russian and polish from what I can remember.
How do I bypass the barrier because I do not speak polish nor nay of the other languages for that matter

Uninstall the game and when you reinstall choose the language you want during installation. Make sure that the EA App are in the same language.

I had the same issue. I'm in Ukraine and the game offered me only three languages - Polish, Russian and Czech. The following steps helped me: 1) In EA account settings, I changed my location to USA; 2) I deleted the game; 3) Turned on USA VPN on my laptop; 4) Logged in to EA > Clean cache in the EA > Logged out > Logged in again with USA VPN; 5) And then the game offered me much more languages including En

I have played Sims for for a decade now, since it came out. 

First I purchased a polish version of the game in Poland, then few years ago I purchased an English version of the game to play the English version with my friend here in the UK as she doesn't speak polish. 

Everything was fine with origin, I had two versions of the game in my library, the deluxe polish version and the normal version in English. 

I was now made to transfer to the EA app and the English version of the game is gone. 

I have paid money to get the English version as at that time Sims 4 wasn't yet free. 

I spent nearly an hour on the EA support chat, talked to two different assistants (the first one disconnected after telling me he cant help me, great, just great), and the other disconnected after giving me a fix that didn't fix it. The case is now deemed as "No fix available". 

So our beloved EA took my money for a game, then deleted it from my library and now said they cant fix their mistake? If I wasn't so angry I would laugh at what they are doing. 

I also don't have the option to download the English version of the game as I have the deluxe version purchased in Poland on my account. And the EA team were too smart to add a search bar the application on MacOS. 

If anyone has any tips or ideas what to do, please advise. I am sick of the EA ignoring its customers issues.

Hello,

I would like to play The Sims 4 in German. However, when I click on "Language Settings" and then "Change," the only option available is English. According to the forum, I have a language-locked version, which can be changed by opening a case through the EA Player Help Service.

Despite opening two cases and explaining my situation, I keep receiving emails directing me to check the forum, and my case status is changed to "Waiting on Player." When I try to click on my case and select "Resume Case," I get the message "Use our web form. Advisors can’t handle appeal requests made in chat." But when I click on the web form, it takes me back to the beginning. I'm stuck. Can someone please help me? How can I reach them?

It's frustrating that I can only play the game in English. I use The Sims primarily as a tool to aid my foreign language learning process, so being stuck with the English version is a significant obstacle for me. When I try to download the game from Steam, it allows me to change the language. Why can't I do that through EA App? Why am I forced to download the game from Steam to have language options?
