I really want to do the not so berry challenge in the sims 4, but I don’t have all the packs I need

These are the packs I have:

City living

Discover Uni

seasons

parenthood

toddler stuff

snowy escape 

cats and dogs

This thread is still getting traffic some years later, so I've gone through and compiled commonly agreed on rules from several sites below for ease of access: 

Not So Berry Challenge - Base Game Only Version

Basic Rules

1. Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing). 
2. The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.
3. Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. I.E.: Use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.
4. You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.
5. Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Keep the lifespan on normal.

Gen 1- Mint

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Jealous, Materialistic
Aspiration: Chief of Mischief
Career: Astronaut
Challenge:

1. Master Astronaut career and complete Chief of Mischief aspiration
2. Master mischief and logic skills
3. Complete elements collection

Gen 2- Rose

Traits: Hot Headed, Snob, Romantic
Aspiration: Serial Romantic
Career: Business
Challenge:

1. Only have one child
2. Master the business career and complete Serial Romantic aspiration
3. Leave someone at the alter
4. Get married as an elder

Gen 3- Yellow

Traits: Clumsy, Ambitious, Loner
Aspiration: Nerd Brain
Career: Freelance Programmer
Challenge:

1. Master programming rocket science, and handiness skill
2. Complete Nerd Brain aspiration
3. Must complete ten wood sculptures via the woodworking table as a teen
4. Must build a rocket ship and visit Sixam
5. Enter the secret lot in Oasis Springs (requires max handiness)
6. Never have any close friends or relationships other than grandparent from Generation 1 until the grandparent dies

Gen 4- Grey

Traits: Active, Slob, Music Lover
Aspiration: Bodybuilder
Career: Athlete
Challenge:

1. Master guitar, piano, and athletic skills
2. Master athlete career and complete Bodybuilder aspiration
3. Have three failed relationships before finding spouse, marry a neat Sim
4. Be good friends with all of your children
5. Have at least one family dinner per week where every household member is present and eating the meal at the same table

Gen 5- Plum

Traits: Genius, Noncommittal, Book Worm
Aspiration: Renaissance Sim
Career: Fast Food, Tech Guru, Entertainer
Challenge:

1. Master videogaming and two other skills of your choosing, achieve at least level eight in six skills
2. Complete Renaissance Sim aspiration
3. Get divorced and then later remarried to the same Sim
4. Must live in both base game worlds over the course of your life

Gen 6- Orange

Traits: Evil, Self-Assured, Glutton
Aspiration: Public Enemy
Career: Criminal
Challenge:

1. Master cooking and charisma skills
2. Master criminal career and complete Public Enemy aspiration
3. Must live in a cheap starter home (under 12k) for entire young adult life
4. Have twins, but only those two children (you may cheat for this)
5. Insist on being evil (claim to be criminal mastermind) but nobody believes you, not even your own children

Gen 7- Pink

Traits: Neat, Loner, Creative
Aspiration: Best Selling Author
Career: Business
Challenge:

1. Complete postcard collection
2. Master writing and gardening skills
3. Complete Best Selling Author aspiration
4. Have a well-maintained garden
5. Quit day job as an adult to pursue dreams

Gen 8- Peach

Traits: Foodie, Lazy, Goofball
Aspiration: Joke Star
Career: Secret Agent
Challenge:

1. Marry a co-worker
2. Must play an instrument
3. Master gourmet cooking and comedy skills
4. Master secret agent career
5. Must live in a different world than the one he/she was raised

Gen 9- Green

Traits: Slob, Geek, Cheerful
Aspiration: Computer Whiz
Career: Tech Guru
Challenge:

1. Master mixology, video gaming, and programming skills
2. Master tech guru career and complete Computer Whiz aspiration
3. Must accept every invitation to parties/outings with your friends and/or go out/ throw a party once a week 
4. Have at least five good friends and five enemies

Gen 10- Blue

Traits: Gloomy, Perfectionist, Family Oriented
Aspiration: Big Happy Family
Career: Painter
Challenge:

1. Adopt at least one child
2. Master the painting, cooking, and gardening skills
3. Master painter career and complete the big happy family aspiration
4. Must marry high school sweetheart and stay with them until you die
5. Have a one time secret affair

@Catboi07 Hi, Not So Berry Challenge does need some packs to get though it, i.e. Get To Work for the Scientist Career.  Get Together, Parenthood etc.

Check this list i found on The Sims Forum and it lists every pack you need to play them.

im personally playing this challenge, but i don't have all of the packs. with the requirements that require a pack i don't have i replace it with something i can do or just ignore it. for example, for family movie night i have them all sit down and eat dinner together and chat because i don't have the movie pack. really, as long as you are having fun you can tweak things. it's a game and is all about your enjoyment.

I’ve noticed that a lot of the generational community challenges assume you have all or at least most of the packs. I would love to see if anyone has any recommendations for a challenge that is either just base game or has specific if/then rules that allow a variety of different pack combinations.

I've been seeing that the 100 Baby/Infant challenge can be done by just the base game.

@sreeser197885  That’s true enough. Rags to riches, 100 baby challenge, 7 toddlers, and now all the scenarios that have been added into the game (including “too many toddlers” and “making money” which can basically be 7 toddlers & rags to riches if set up right) are base game only. I think the interest here is more in the generational community challenges - the ones that you have to play multiple generations, generally with new rules for each generation, to complete the whole thing. There’s a lot out there - not so berry just being one of the more popular - but they generally assume you have all or nearly all the packs.

Very true...I just finished a basic legacy challenge that could be done all base game that just welcomed it's 11th generation.  All your choices are good ones, too!
