Does this still work on the EA app? The last game update reset the files but now I can’t find them at all.

@micahaugust9 I can't tell if you can do it through EA, I couldn't find a way around it. But I use Stream to run my game so I figured it through there, let me know if you do that too and I can help you!

I apologize if the answer is obvious, I'm not much of a computer guy. Although I can get to the folder The Sims 4, I can't find the folder Game within it. Even after searching specifically for Camera.ini nothing showed up. Am I possibly in the wrong place? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

This will help if anyone runs into finding all the files and etc but not being able to save any changes. I was already listed as an admin on my pc but it wouldn’t let me save anything until i went in and assigned myself full control /being able to edit/ to the files as an admin rather than just viewing and moving them. you can follow this link (scroll down when you get there) step by step once you’ve found your camera file for the game under res. The link also includes how to assign ownership to yourself for the files if you don’t already have it. hope this helps! I found res, but it's empty. I have never before gone into these folders, so I'm completely at a loss. You wouldn't happen to have any ideas, would you?

From the EA App, I went to the Sims 4 under installed games or Library, then clicked Manage (left of the Play button), then View Properties. From there I was able to see the install location and click Browse to go directly to where the game files are installed.  I searched for camera.ini and edited any files (I had 2 come up) and was able to search for IgnoreLotLevel in notepad. I'm not sure the options for Mac or if it's a problem but in Windows/PC you might also need to make sure hidden files are visible. I'm attaching a picture but you should also be able to just google how to show hidden files in whatever version of Windows you have

@Kistoway Thank you !! I was wondering why my IgnoreLotLevel wasn't working!! And no-one seemed to have a solution so I had to live with it 🙈🙈🙈🙈 i even tried messing with other settings but to no avail 😂

It took me a minute to find through steam. But I found the file. Changed all to "IgnoreLotLevel = true"

But the camera still just jumps up and down and *. Idk why.

It's pretty stupid. I just moved my sim into a lot on Delsole valley, so this is a Maxis designed house, how is it so fricken janky? It's not like I made a odd lot myself

Also installed through steam and currently having this problem as well despite trying the above fix, as well as looking for a second hidden file in the steam install directory (there wasn't one). Seems suspect that this is a problem for multiple people in a short frame of time and the "fix" isn't working for steam users.

On mac unfortunatly when i open the file there are only numers. there is no true or false setting. I only see the setting for the positon of my saved camera angles. Even when the file is opened in a coding program.
