I really want to use mod and CC but I could not afford paying out for all the expansion packs to have on PC I am kind of gutted I never just stuck to buying a PC but my Television had x box built in I only had to pay for the monthly subscription but obviously I have paid for all the expansion packs to be added on.

You probably have bought x box game pass. But don't forget, if your membership terminates or a game is removed from the catalog, you must reactivate your membership or buy the game separately to continue using these items. So have a look at the TOS.

I got  a computer for Christmas but, it is a Chromebook and that is what I am using to ask you this question. My mother has a Macbook but uses it for personal purposes or work purposes. My grandmother also has a computer. Hers is a Windows. But, she uses it for work purposes. Anyways, I've seen people playing Sims all over social media. But, they use mods and CC. Is mods and CC only for PC? And will you add mods and CC to console? That's it, thank you.

Hey @vs_girly,

Mods and CC are made by the Sims community, so it's less of a question if we'll add them to consoles, and more than the community isn't developing them for console (largely I suspect because of how awkward it'd be install them on a cconsole). Most (if not all) mods and CC are for PC/Mac because it's easier to develop for. We have an article about modding and the SIms 4 that might have some more info that interests you.

I wont lie the game is very fun but as another comment said before the games is only fun for a few hours and then gets boring, playing Sims with no CC its kinda just feels like playing a cooler version of bloxburg.

All i really want is for Console players to enjoy the game the same way PC players enjoy the game and i understand how its not just an EA responsibility but can you at least try and talk to Microsoft and Sony for the sake of Console players

does anyone think its stupid that console players have no access to mods like come on how is it fair that we get too see all these pc/mac players play with all these mods that make the game so much more fun not all of us can afford a monster gaming pc that can run thousands of mods there are people that can only afford play stations and Xbox`s and i get that Sony has a thing about external textures but some of us just want mods that help performance and improve the game so much we deserve too have mods even if it was like other games such as minecraft were you have to buy the mods id be okay with that cause at this point it be worth paying 5-10 bucks for a mod on console its mildly annoying that we can`t have access too things like this when plenty of other games offer this on console like if your not willing too fix it let console players have mods that make the game run better and have access too quality of life mods fyi im not trying too be negative in anyway about this game it just annoying that console players get deprived of so much

Its actually kind of sad that console players cant have mods or cc, it makes the game boring when you realize you cant have a certain something simply because you dont or cant get a pc/mac, Ive been trying to found out how to get mod or cc on my sims for yearssss and i just now found out that its not even available for console and this thread was made years ago its 2024 and EA still hasnt made the exception to let console user download cc or mods, even if they do make it happen they will probably make console users pay for it instead of just being able to unlock it in game or download it in console like pc users can, i honestly think console shouldve had this feature for sims awhile ago. I hope some day soon they will make an exception for console user to have the option to get or earn mods/cc...If anyone see this in 2024 lets make a petition so EA or whoever is in charge of it can make this happen!!

What you can do on Console is heavily dependent on what Microsoft (xbox) and Sony (PS) allows.

facts its so friggen heartbreaking to not be able to fo simple things like birth mods, extreme violence, have more sims in a household. I just want to play the way PC players do. Without having to go out and buy a pc or rebuy all these packs on PC.

Honestly sick of the excuses and explanations when it comes to this. I dont care. Console players not having mods when they pay just as much as PC players is absoloutely a ripoff. Ridiculous and class discrimination. Simple things like modding lots to allow more sims per house, realistic birth mod, fertility mods, medical mods, The list honestly goes on and on. I could sit here and write out a three page list. We should be able to do ALL this and not have to pay more to do so. Honestly so sick of feeling like im missing out.
