I can open my game and get to my save file fine but then all my sims freeze.  None of them can move and I can't switch control to a different sim in my household.  I try to fast forward or reset them and it does nothing.  Time skips ahead an hour or two (usually around 11:30 am) and then time will go back if I set it to 1x speed.  I have tried repairing the game through the EA app multiple times.  I have removed all mods from my game and made sure they are all up to date.  I can't figure out what is wrong.
