why are apostrophes not allowed anymore?

I tried to change my name recently to Demon's Head (league of assassins reference. my guild is called Rogue_Assassins) but it wouldn't let me use the apostrophe. because of this I settled for La Cabeza del Demonio, but this is becoming quite the mouthful now. I know they used to be allowed because one of my old guilds was called Quantum's Chaos. Just wondering why they stopped being allowed and if they'll ever be allowed again? They really add a lot of versatility.
