Why do the rookies in Franchise ask for contracts after 2 years?

While waiting for Madden 20 me and the homies downloaded the latest rosters. We have noticed that it is virtually impossible to keep your salary cap in good standing because of your rookies asking for big time deals after only 2 years. This is not realistic and taking the fun out of a mode I'm not a fan of, but I was warming up to. I hope to at least see this fixed in Madden 20!

Are these rookies having superstar seasons? It's common for some rookies in the NFL to ask for a new restructured contract after two great seasons into the NFL.
