Oh thank you so much, thats lovely!  What’s your name in game?   Oh and the plates come from the cooking career, or possibly any sim who wants to cook.  You tap on the oven and choose to bake something or cook something and you’ll get a plate.  You tap the plate to eat something off it and to clean it up when its empty.

Yea, if you're in the cooking hobby you can go to the oven and cook something. But I think you can go to the microwave and "heat up a meal" without bring in the hobby though too.
