Hello Oceanic Battlefield 1 players,
We wanted to share an update on the connectivity troubles affecting our Battlefield 1 PC players in the Oceanic region.
Over the past few weeks, our teams have worked around the clock to figure out the cause of the connectivity issue, and frustratingly , it’s not something within our control. We’ve recently been able to reduce the amount of disconnections, which is great news, but unfortunately, we’re not out of the woods yet.
Going forward, we will be providing updates every 72 hours until we can call an “all clear”. We absolutely understand how frustrating this is for all of the players affected and will continue driving towards a solution that results in getting you, our Oceanic PC Battlefield 1 community, back into the trenches regularly as soon as we possibly can. Our humblest apologies for the frustration this has caused you all, and our sincerest thanks for your patience.
We’ve seen the comments regarding compensation, and we hear you. We’re working on something that we’ll get rolled out for our Battlefield 1 PC players in the region. Right now, we are focused on fully resolving the problem. Once we do that, we’ll get back to you on the next steps.
Again, our heartfelt apologies for the longevity and severity of this issue, and our deepest thanks for your continued patience.

Hello Oceanic Battlefield 1 players,
As promised, we wanted to share our latest update regarding the connectivity issues affecting our Oceanic Battlefield 1 PC players.
Over the weekend, our teams continued to work to eliminate connectivity issues and server crashes. The good news is we had no additional reports of issues over the weekend. Despite these successes and reports from the community of improved connectivity, we’re not ready just yet to declare an All Clear, but we are optimistic that we’ll be able to do this soon.
As promised in our last update, we will continue updating you every 72 hours until this problem has been completely resolved. Our mission remains unchanged – to stabilize connectivity in the Oceanic region and ensure you’re all able to consistently jump back into the battlefield.
Thanks for the updates you’ve provided on the forums and reddit regarding your successful matchmaking and thanks again for your patience. We’re getting through this as a community, and as always we appreciate your support.

Hello all,
As committed to, we’re continuing to provide updates on the issues affecting our Oceanic Battlefield 1 PC players.
We’re continuing on the work of stabilizing connectivity and reducing overall disconnection for our PC players within the region, and have deployed some systems that have yielded positive results. One of these systems locked down incoming connections from outside of Australia, so those within Australia had increased stability in connection during heavy load. However, those attempting to connect to these servers from outside of Australia experienced connectivity issues. We noticed some comments after the beginning of the week mentioning disconnection after the loading screen, and it appears this was the cause.
Next steps are we’ll be reducing or loosening those blocks on Monday, May 14th and will closely monitor for impacts to stability. We’ll let you know how that goes.
We also wanted to address a concern mentioned by our PS4 players in Australia and South Africa. Due to an unknown error (currently under investigation) during the deployment of the April Update on April 24th, server capacity in Australia and South Africa became corrupted, resulting in a poor state and increased difficulty in connecting to and remaining connected to matches. This was corrected when we dropped the Battlefield 1 Weapons Crate Update on May 7th, and we’re continuing to keep our eye on that.
Thanks for staying with us and we’ll have an update soon to keep you in the loop with information and updates as we receive them.

Hello all,
We wanted to share this latest update with the community.
Progress continues to be made on the issue, with the last week looking quite promising due to increased stability and sustained connectivity for our Battlefield 1 PC players in Australia.
As mentioned in our last update, we did set up blocks to restrict connections to Australian servers from outside of Australia. As of today, we’ve removed those blocks.
We are aware some users might be having issues connecting to Australian servers from certain locations , and are expecting that to be addressed in the next 24 hours. We will be further tuning configurations, with the possibility of short periods where games are dropped or become inaccessible. These minor bumps would only last minutes, and you should be able to reconnect.
We’re pleased to be making good progress on this and getting close to signing off on the issue, which we know has been a major inconvenience. At that point, we’ll share the compensation plan we’ve got for our affected players.
Again, thank you for standing with us during this time. More to come!

Hello all,
Another update, as promised, to keep you in the loop on the status of the connectivity issue affecting our Oceanic Battlefield 1 PC players.
Though we have not observed any new, significant issues since our last update and overall stability has increased, we have noted some mentions of random and inconsistent drops at the end of matches, and have shared this information with our teams to review.
We want to continue to offer our sincerest thanks for sticking by us during this time and for your continued patience.
We’re eager to lock this issue down completely and will continue to update you with our progress. In the meantime, please stay tuned for further updates and please keep providing feedback on the current status of your connection to Battlefield 1 PC servers in the Australian region.
