Instead of camping, try playing from the forward position. So on defense you would move forward say towards the Teleporter or another hot spot. On offense move cover to cover to mid and close range. Being closer to targets allow you to shoot from the hip when reticule is red. By not zooming so much you can use your peripheral vision to spot ZPGs and other danger.
Playing in the forward position can get tricky especially when Characters like Scientist and Brainz can get close really quick. Always being aware of what you see and especially what you hear can help. When a zombie gets to you quick, use your iron maiden with mines. By dropping a maiden down and doing a backwards circle around it and at the same time dropping mines in most cases you will defeat those one on ones. You will need to be shooting as well. It may sound like a lot but give it a try in the back yard or solo a few times and you will find that this method is extremely easy! The forward position works exceptionally well on fast pace Turf matches.
Drones (same applies for Parrots) – When deploying your drones on offense get into position first. Move up as close as you can in the battle, hide and deploy. If the point goes fast you won’t be stuck at the back of the map and when your drone is complete you will be at a good position to jump right back in the battle.
When deploying drones on long maps; like point one on Moon base Z or point one on The Great White North try taking your drones out low and to the side until you get in position to drop your first air assault. This will safely allow your drone time to charge up the butter barrage.
On Moon Base Z you would take drone out and to the left over the canyon and around to graveyard or behind it.
On The Great White North for Pirates, you would take your parrot out over the water right or left but low until you get into position. Same for Cacti, low and on the perimeter until you are in position for first strike.
Deploying your drone safely should allow you to get at least one vanquish ever time with the butter barrage.
Mines:
Defense, (when you are not moving forward) you can drop mines in graveyard dirt where zombies spawn minions, or on teleporters and zombot turrets.
On offense, when you make it to the graveyard you can drop mines on turrets or right beside where another one will spawn.
Pazzazling Potato mines are easier to spot in the positions mentioned above. Vanquishes are more rewarding with them though.
Note: This method works well for all Cacti except the Camo Cactus. Camo Cactus is best at Long range
