Ship battles [ Edited ]

I'm on level 61 and doing ship battles for the first time and at first it was easy and now it's really hard!!!! I'm doing the best I can but not making much progress. George

This game takes time, its a game of progression.

Battles that are difficult at first will seem trivial when you build an inventory and upgrade your characters/ships.
