Option to turn off profanity and blood in BF1

★ Apprentice

Is there an option to turn off profanity and blood in Battlefield 1? Yes, I know the game is M-Rated; I just want to know if such an option exists.

@1BlockyBoiHey, there aren't any content filtering options in the game.

As you say, it's an M-rated game and (without speaking for the devs) I'd guess that the brutality of the game is fully intentional.

Thanks for the question.

Hi

IS there a way to turn off the blood in any way at all.

Like addons or filters?

Not that I'm aware of, sorry.

I know you can edit the colour of the "kill" checkmark to make it less implicitly violent (deep red obviously representing blood) but other than that you can't remove the violent content.

As a game that reenacts the brutality of the great war I feel that it would be disrespectful to try and downplay the violence even if it is just a game

I see what you are saying, but maybe at least a profanity filter. I don't see why it is needed in order to reenact WW1.

As most of the soldiers were spending 24hrs a day in hell why not go the extra mile and say a few naughty words while your at it?

Though I could see where you are coming from I do not feel it could really happen in a war game, no profanity is like asking the game not to have guns or army's

What do you mean by the color checkmarker for a kill?

What age do you think BattleField 1 is suitable for?

Yep, but in the options I  think there is a way to turn some of the blood down?

I may be  wrong about this but???
