New coach hiring

I am in my second year of franchise mode and just found out that my NHL GOALIE coach from my first season 'retired' so i had to hire a new coach and the coach's overall grade was a D...my question is CAN that overall grade change and if so how then since he isn't a player

Maybe their rank can increase at the end of the year if you do really well but I'm pretty sure they are static/don't change. You will need to scout specifically for better goalie coaches as the year progresses
