New Melee Weapon Idea: Shield Shovel [ Edited ]

The Canadians came up with the idea to combine a sniper shield with their shovel, called the MacAdams shield shovel. It was largely deemed useless by the military, as it was bulky, was too thin to stop even small arms fire, and it was a useless shovel due to the big hole in the shovel (LOL). Though, some soldiers stacked a bunch of these together as a sniper shield. That said, it could still be used as a melee weapon. 

And, as a repeat of a previous request, here are some other melee weapon ideas that are era correct (WWI or prior):

+ Push dagger

+ Spiked brass knuckles

+ Bowie knife

+ Bayonet knife

+ Louisville Slugger baseball bat

+ Police cudgel / truncheon / nightstick
