Please fix this issue, specifically for common last names that are used by NFL players.

can we at least get a list of what words, partial words, or anything that is profane so I don’t spend hours trying to come up with something besides my own last name. 

 My name is Bellini. No clue what about that is profane. Bellin is fine. Ellini is fine. Why is Bellini profane?

@EA_Barry this is a completely unacceptable response. You literally give no reasoning for the issue. We as a community have purchased an unsatisfactory product and request a change to provide us with a better player experience. When the community speaks, you should listen.

In NBA2K a work around was to go offline and then put the name in... im not sure if that’s possible in Madden?? My name is Jude and that’s not allowed...

EA is well known to be very inclusive and maybe your name is matching a known homophobic word list?

Bender is outdated and years ago was potentially used in a homophobic manner.

@EA_Barry What a garbage and unprofessional response. Unfortunately that response perfectly characterizes EA these days. I’d say that I hope you see what you did wrong and fix it but that won’t happen and I know it. Thank you though for reaffirming my decision to never buy another madden game until EA’s problems are fixed

Just to add a little more context regarding the initial post here: it is also possible that the names of high profile employees (past and present) is included in the profanity list.

While it is inconvenient that you may not be able to use your own exact name, a slight variation will likely be accepted. Thanks.

I have the same issue with the first name Nigel. I’m aware that this is close to a certain word, but Nigel is a name!
