I really want to get into this game

I really want to get into this game, but I just feel that of all the sports games video games out there, basketball is the sports where the computer decides your fate the most. Yes i know certain players are better than others, and the odds of making a basket will be greater with greater players, but in the end when you shoot, a computer is going to decide whether that shot goes in or not, and I just dont have faith that the player does enough to have any real control over the outcome. The computer can decide at any time that it wants you to miss that last second shot.
