I finished a quest and my guild progress was lost

Hi! I accidentally finished some quest and was therefore moced up one guild tier to lvl 4. In the process, my week of work on the raids got lost and now im in last place in the new guild, with their raids bring almost over... Is it supposed to work like this? Seems a little wierd to me...
