How is Need For Speed Payback Now?

I bought the Need For Speed Payback when it first came out but sold it after the shop resupply nonsense, grindy nature of the game, and loot boxes. So, since the game came out a little over a year ago, how is the game after patches? I sit worth getting or wait to hear about a new Need For Speed?

from what ive heard through different channels is nfs pay back isn't supported any more. that's probley y you see abondened cars every week  and they don't keep there game up dated, especially with patches. im beginning to believe it to cause ive made a lot od comments and suggestions especially in speedlist drift

    No! It doesn't worth a penny. I also bought the game since release date and I feel sorry for that.

    The game has FEW improvements since you, (and me), stop playing it but in general is the same CANCEROUS EA PRODUCT that hunts for loot boxes, speed cards, vanity items, DLCs etc.

So is there any way to play a two player race?  I have been in the stone ages playing NFS Hot Pursuit 2 on a Ps2.  I bought the PS4 and NFS Payback, But I’ve yet to find/unlock a normal race mode.  Does a mode where two people on the same PS4 can pick cars and race on a track?  I just wanted a race game, not a soap opera.

NO...there is no way to race just your friends. EA suckered me into buying this game with the misleading ad campaign as well. You can race your friends...maybe...if you can find a 'server' with only the two of you on it....and you'll have to define your own track...sorta...but, you'll NOT be able to race your friend on "Solar Sprint" or any other 'track' on the map.

Nope dude if you want a racing game with split screen, mayby you should preorder the new Gran Tour game with Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond. That game will have split screen up for 4 players, and you can play as the hosts. And there will be live cutcenes too from the show, its only two more weeks until it launch. Atleast dont spend your money on crappy Payback.

I bought the game yesterday and I have pretty much every NFS game since NFS Porsche. So this one, Payback, is first NFS in many years that I like right after installing and playing for first hour. What a refreshment from EA games! For me this NFS is worth buying and givin' it a chance.

EA the biggest rip off in the game industry as far as I'm concerned.

Again Bravo to you for calling EA out for what many of us already know as life long player's of this P.O.S. company with there casino style game in Payback!

I guess they may understand that "hate speech" has nothing to do with the truth.
