How can EA "fix" this game?

[ Edited ]
★★ Guide

The point of this topic is to collect constructive ideas on how this game can be "fixed." In the general sense of  leveling, loot boxes, star cards and such.

If you want to complain, please post a new topic, or find a topic you agree with and add your feedback there.

If you posted in another topic, or see another topic or post that has a good idea, please reply and I'll collect them all in one place, and credit the author, of course.

Either way, it looks like there might be some outside pressure to remove the loot box system, but I'm not sure that will completely disappear.

So, just remove loot boxes altogether? Let players buy crafting parts with credits? This way it would simply be skill-based, I guess? Play better, get more credits, buy more crafting parts.

Perhaps also increase the credit reward slightly? It seems slightly low for the average player.

SUGGESTIONS SO FAR:

@Peligrad

  • Duplicates from crates now grant crafting points rather than credits. Level 1 = 10 CP. Level 2 = 20 CP. Level 3 = 40 CP.
  • Level 4 cards reduced in price from 480 crafting points to 360. Players refunded 120 CP per level 4 card they own.
    Vote for this idea here.

@chinnyreckon

  • Remove loot boxes altogether and replace it with normal item purchasing

@ivrognard

  • Instead of buying Cards, how about unlocking them doing certain challenges. That worked fine in a number of games.
    So, do the challenge and you are rewarded with a certain item. That would add an actual sense of progression.
    Vote for this idea here.

★ Guide

These are the changes I would make if I were the executive manager of this video game.

General:

Duplicates from crates now grant crafting points rather than credits. Level 1 = 10 CP. Level 2 = 20 CP. Level 3 = 40 CP

Level 4 cards reduced in price from 480 crafting points to 360. Players refunded 120 CP per level 4 card they own.

Players playing in 3rd person are automatically switched to 1st person view when 3rd person view is obstructed by an object behind their character.

All characters, vehicles, and abilities are now available in 1st person view.

Characters who do not have an improved jump now jump 20% higher making it easier to get over map obstacles.Jumping is no longer disabled on rough terrain (you won't get stuck due to not being able to jump any more)

Balance:

Basic Troopers:

Heavy:

Heavy can now perform rolls while sentry and personal shield are active.

TL-50's range stat increased 50%, cooling capacity increased 25%, and accuracy increased 25%

Ion shot's cool down reduced to 10 seconds card level 1, 8 seconds card level 2, 6 seconds card level 3, 4 seconds card level 4

Specialist:

Specialist's hp increased to 125

Assault:
Vanguard's max damage per shot decreased to 300 and fire rate decreased to 1 shot per 2.25 seconds. Vanguard now grants immediate health regeneration while active and the assault is granted unlimited rolls while active.

Turret's range increased by 20 meters  and will acquire targets 1 second faster

Vehicle pilots receive a penalty to battle point income while piloting a vehicle compared to a normal troop: Light vehicles gain at 60% rate (example speeder bike). Medium vehicles gain at 33% rate (example LAAT). Heavy vehicles gain at 10% rate (example AT-ST, Tank). Heavy and medium vehicles now follow the same health regeneration rules as heroes.

Hi guys. Hope you don't mind, I wasn't very clear in my original topic, but I meant to collect ways we can help EA fix the loot box/credit/crafting parts section of the game. I've added your suggestions relating to that Standard smile

Should we start a separate section for actual game play suggestions?

@ObiWanBonomi in the above voting option for 'remove loot boxes althogther' could you edit that to 'remove random loot boxes altogether and replace with normal item purchasing' else it sound confusing as no one knows what there will be instead. Thanks

Re: How can EA "fix" this game?

★★★ Guide

I don't see a solution to fix this game unless they completely get rid of the pay to win design all together and just go cosmetic. I'd be happier if they get rid of loot boxes and make everything unlock able through skill like how the weapons are. They can have micro-transactions to unlock certain things with crystals which would still be pay to win but this basically done in the last 2 battlefields they had MTs to just unlock everything. they just need to properly balance the star cards and make the game less of a grind.

But at this point I I'd rather just have paid DLC this pay to win system doesn't seem worth it. I do fear the DLC won't be that great either like in the last BF They basically said screw it for the Rogue One installation. And now there's no way for them to not catch flak unless they get rid of the pay 2 win system  and loot boxes and EA DICE will have no intensive to add good DLC.

But honestly even though there is so much more content in this game it still feels like half a game because there's still so much more content missing that should be in here like Driodekas, clone wars heroes, and maps like Geonosis .

Re: How can EA "fix" this game?

I like a part of the idea of @chinnyreckon  , but instead of buying, how about unlocking them doing certain challenges. That worked fine in a number of games. So, do the challenge and you are rewarded with a certain item. That would add an actual sense of progression. Sadly, any of those solutions would involve a complete stats/unlocks reset.

Also, server browser, a better way to handle matchmaking (you should have people of approximately same unlocks/levels there), better squad creation (i do want to be in the same squad with my friends).

Those things should be, in theory, possible.

I do not work for EA and i am not associated with the company in any way. I am a player just like you, trying to help wherever i can.I will not answer to any unsolicited PM.
