Well, @rslmnk, part of what makes the game fun is designing and redesigning your home. If you're not happy with how it's currently situated, you could put everything in storage and start fresh. I've done that a few times. You can also visit other people's homes and see if they inspire your creativity. I wouldn't recommend copying exactly someone else's home, but you could certainly take the things you like and put your own spin on it.
Also, I know I've seen a thread on here where people have shared their house layouts. I searched a few pages back but couldn't find it. You could either go farther back, or try searching for key words like "layout" or "house design" or something like that.
Once you get it the way you like, it would be cool if you shared it on here. I'd be interested to see the end result. Have fun!

Hmm my advice, I'd make the room a little bit smaller. Currently I have a really small house with a HUGE yard.
I have some screenshots over here: https://twitter.com/Phantoms1717/status/1069277876455907329 if you want to see them.
It's good to look at what others do, get some inspiration from it.
I also created a printable where you can draw your blueprint on: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Game-Information/The-Sims-Mobile-share-your-house-blueprints/m-p/6889730#M...
You might be a bit limited due to your lower level and there for less rooms available, but you can certainly do something fun with it!
