[Guide] Be social and grow relationships in The Sims Mobile

Want to make friends? Push an enemy’s buttons? Find a sweetheart, get married, and start a family? Help your Sims build deep and rewarding relationships.

Make a friend! (Or an enemy or a sweetheart)

Whenever you meet a new Sim, you can choose how to introduce yourself. You can be Friendly, Flirty, Funny, or Mean.

  1. Tap another Sim.
  2. Start interacting!

Build your relationship level with other Sims by doing different social actions. Stick to the same type of action to build that kind of relationship.

Not happy with the way your Sims’ relationship is going? Tap the other Sim and swipe up until you see More Options. There you can pick a relationship type.

Take it to the next level

You’re not afraid of commitment, are you? It’s time to start the next stage of your Sim’s relationship.

Once you reach a certain relationship level, you’ll get an option to start a Social Event:

  1. Tap the Sim that your Sim is building a relationship with.
    • Is the Sim not there? You can call them over.
      1. Tap the Info Panel (three dots).
      2. Tap Relationships.
      3. Tap the Sim to select them, then tap Socialize.
  2. Tap the Story you want to start.
  3. Speed up an event by performing actions with your Sim or using SimCash.

As your Sim’s relationship blossoms, they’ll unlock new Social Event options and actions.

  • Some Events will help you level up.
  • Others will change your relationship in some way. That’s how you would take a romantic relationship to getting married and having babies, for instance.

To progress in relationships, you might need to buy some objects with Simoleons.

Earning rewards in social events

Your rewards can also change based on how risky the action is. The riskier an action is, the better the reward if your Sim is successful.

Normal event actions will naturally raise your Sim’s confidence. As they gain confidence during an event, the risky actions will start to pop up.

Risky actions Sims Mobile

If your Sim succeeds, congratulations! They’ll get not only the higher reward, but they’ll also gain confidence.

If they fumble and fail, well, they won’t get as good of a reward and their confidence will decrease. Better luck next time!

Social tips and tricks

  • Make sure your Energy is full before you start.
    • Is your Sim low on Energy? Run home to take a power nap or use the bathroom.
  • Use a Cupcake to refill your Energy all the way up so you can keep playing sooner. Buy them or earn them from tasks on your To Do List.
  • Did the Social Event option disappear? Sometimes this happens if you leave to fill your Needs or the other Sim leaves for a while. Call the Sim back and start socializing. It will come back.

Hi @justjoy88,

Sorry for the wait! But... why do you want to break the happy couple?? Frown

Jokes aside, yes, it's possible. Use evil interactions with the Sim you want to break up with until you get the option Wink

Welcome to the forums!

When we start a story with another person's sim, will it inform the owner?

Unfortunately, it will only inform the owner upom reaching new relationship levels. It also comes with Relationship Points rewards, ranging from 10-20 pts, that can be claimed by the owner.

We have no option yet to opt out of relationships, just like Career Stories and Hobbies once completing them. (You can also opt out of Career Stories any time, as long as you have money)

We could wait for this to happen, who knows what the Sims Mobile team would do? Standard smile

Hi. If my 2 sims are married, does that stop other players sims from becoming romantic with mine? Sometimes I get messages that show other people started relationships with my sims but I hope they're only friendly ones! :/

No other peoples Sims can have romantic relationships with your Sim. It's something you really won't know about when playing, so don't let that bother you.

It effects the players game if they get a request to have their sim move in with another player. The player sending the request to the original owner for their sim to move in does not know if their request gets rejected. Most players would not give their sim to another player. Many players get involved with other player's sims not knowing if they request move in, the original player could loose their sim to another player. The person requesting the sim to move in does not know they will take the original owner's sim out of their game . They find out the hard way. They build a relationship with the other player's sim only to be let down by not being able to move the sim in because the sim belongs to another player. I hope EA is considering adding a block or accept option when a player first tries to have a romantic relationship with another players sim. It should happen in the beginning of the relationship. Not at level 8 where the person works on the relationship and has no idea the player will not give them their sim.
