Golds faster than TOTY ?!?!?!?

Please someone help explain something to me and I am hoping an EA rep would respond:

Let me first start with telling you I have the following:

wired connection

1 gig up and down

dedicated fiber line

(4) live in Toronto (not the worst city)

(5) business line (real speed and dedicated lines)

That said, please HELP me understand how with 99's TOTY and 99 Gretzky and Lemieux can teams loaded with GOLD base cards:

skate circles around me as they are way more agile?

skate faster than me and beat me to every loose puck?

shoot faster and harder than me?

(4) shoot more accurately than me?

(5) pass way more accurately than me?

Please please please help me make some sense of this???

Also, I should note that I have team synergies FB, BU, T and TB activated...all my stats are basically 99....

How can this even happen or make sense?

GameDev on the sister site will say you just aren't picking your battles properly. He'll then say the system in place is perfect this year and your skating input just wasn't perfect enough to close the gap. Getting caught up ice and having to turn around/back skate will often lead to the other player appearing as though they are much faster. Couple that with stamina and dynamic difficulty and boom, you have your answer.

Keep in mind the other team might have synergies that increase speed and agility; even an 85 gold can have max skating if you try hard enough.

I urge you to ask your question in the main forums - you'll be told exactly what you're doing wrong lol
