Galactic conquest

Hello,

I am looking for help in swgoh galactic conquest. It is my first time playing and so am just learning the mechanics. I'm stuck early on because I seem to be required to by something from the Wandering Scavenger but do not have adequate currency. Replaying past battles does not seem to help. Can you please advise me or point me to the correct source.
