GDI vs Banshee

I ‘ve been frustrated by how versatile this unit. It appears in almost every game.  The unit transitions too well. It outlasts Pitbulls and makes short work of a talion. Bikes are so cheap that if you do start producing hammerheads it doesn’t even become a detterent to more banshees.  They just add bikes.  

Could they not be less effective vs harvesters and ground.  Something more in line to how strong a talon is vs ground.

Pitbulls are good enough. If you did not make use of its moveshotbility then you have been misusing them.

Both Missile Squads and Zone Troopers are very useful against Banshees.

Talons are just fine - they don't match up overall to banshee - but they'll win you a close fight.  Talons only cost 30 instead of 60(!) - and they got buffed a little, recently.

But you have to try and let the banshee come to you and double up - face it - tanks used to cost 60 tib - you should except about the same power from the banshee.

Outmaneuver with your pitbulls - they are superior to those bikes - keep up the pressure and let the pitbull raid and keep it alive.

You WILL win the resource war with Talons - so just keep it up.  And ready yourself if he suddenly spams bikes... they will... so if you're ahead on tib get that tank out.

most of the advice here is pretty solid. One thing to keep in mind is bikes, pitbulls, and talons all lose to a banshee 1v1. But 2v1, you won't lose a single unit. So don't send something in single file. Double up. If I can, I like to build a talon AND pitbull and send them in at the same time. If the banshee runs, then you chase it down with the pit and win without taking a hit. If it stays and fights, it goes down in seconds.

Little more difficult as NOD as you need 2 bike squads at the same time, but they also have stealth tanks, or just bikes and a banshee of your own.

Finally, laser/missile squads are the hard counter to banshees. Super cheap, and will take it down with little damage, only problem is getting it there and not having the nod player counter with flames/wheels or the banshee just nope'ing out of there.

Final remark, most of these same strats apply to the mohawk as well. Sure, a talon can and will kill a mohawk, but you are better off 2v1'ing it or it will find value.
