Feature Request: In-Game Refund Option

Why isn't it possible to refund a purchase from a regular in-game resource store?

Occasionally, a player will buy something by mistake and would want to reverse the purchase. Why can't the "purchase" button simply transform into a "refund" button until the store resets?

Currently, once you buy an item, it is grayed out, preventing you from buying it again until the store resets. This same state variable could be used to determine if there should be a refund button. There are no random boxes in any store, so you always know exactly what currency was traded for which resource, but even if random boxes were to be sold in the future, they would not be refundable once opened, because you no longer have the actual box.

You can easily check if they still have the bought resource before granting a refund, in case they used it up - which would obviously disqualify you from a refund.

After a refund, you could revert the item to being unsold, and allow the player to purchase it again, just in case they refunded by mistake.

With a solution like this in place you probably could've saved your customer service department a few thousand hours of work this week, and have happier players who are in control of correcting stupid mistakes on their own. You also don't have to worry about surprised player reactions as much when adjusting the store contents.

One of your coders should be able to implement this in a few minutes.

Unless you actually earn a decent income from all those erroneous clicks and want to keep it that way.... but I suspect the cost of support is higher than that.
