Energy not replenishing on mobile game

When I put my sims in bed to rest, or to take a shower, or anything else of that ilk that is meant to replenish energy they do the activity but their energy doesn’t get restored at all. Has this happened to anybody else? How do I fix it?

Could you share some screenshots? What items are you using?

Make sure the option is available when you check your Sims' energy. You will see four options in replenishing energy; the bed, toilet, shower and/or tub. If it's not green then you already used that option and will have to wait however many hours to use it again.
