Hey @WIL2695 in order to play online or launch BF:V you would need an ID. This can be either your Gamertag on a console of your account name on PC.
Are you having an issue launching your games?

Yes you need to choose your ID to play BFV or other EA Game.

PC will use your Origin ID while Xbox and Playstation will use your gamertag/PSN respectively.
Your ID will be shown in-game but there are privacy options to hide your ID outside of the game
Don't be sad, this is just how it works out sometimes
