Connect to EA servers wait has increased

Over the last couple of months I have been noticing a longer wait when connecting to EA servers in GW2.  It doesn't happen every time but I have on many occasions had to have task master end the session because of no connection.  It just sits and keeps trying to connect without any success.  I have waited longer than 5 minutes on some tries.  Many times it takes 3 minutes or longer to connect and once in a while only about 30 seconds.  Anyone else have any similar connection problem?

Yes, I observed it as well. I thought my wifi having problem but all other devices are working fine and when I run network test, it can login to PS4 account and speed is fine.

So I power cycle and retry but doesn't help so come back after a half hour or one hour later then start working again.

I've noticed this as well. It seems GW2 is slipping into the same hole GW1 is in. Buckle up everyone, the ride is about to begin...

It's being reported by everyone everywhere.  Hopefully EA might address this issue in a timely manner.

In the meantime, quitting the app and reloading seems to be a general fix.  I've only had to do it more than once on one occasion.

hopefully it gets fixed sooner or later. like said above relaunching the game should do the trick, however sometimes you have to relaunch it a few times to get it working. it isn't a problem with your internet, my friend and i have had this issue (we were both in different houses) at the same time. i wouldn't just keep waiting for it to load, if it takes a while just reload the game.

At work so can't test as of yet but it's very sporadic. I was on Tuesday night more than once with zero issue but this morning it hung not connected so long I had to leave for work without checking the quest board yet. My friend in MI (I'm in WI) had serious issues Tuesday but then was fine after 3 or 4 tries.
