SWTOR on Origin.

★★★★ Novice

Hi.

Not so long ago checked possibility to get SWTOR subscription for those who are not using cards or paypal (since few years ago it was possible) and on official SWTOR forums saw some people are talking about possibility to buy time via Origin (thankfully at least this place is still a hope for those who hate cards). Then checked this forum and in here everyone saying that such possibility can be used only once. Is it so? How exactly this Origin system is working? When attempted to talk to their support, answer was even more different - that such purchase will require a new account and could not work with already existed SWTOR acc (thou both forums are stating otherwise).

So what exactly from all this is truth? New acc required? Or possible to get 30 days of subscription once and then delete game again since will be no more chances to get new time (without subscription playing is just not fun at all)? Or..maybe after all there are still at least some ways to get game time even for those who are using web wallets?

Answers will be appreciated anyway. Cocktail

Hi @absinthe1s ,

The card you are talking about is most likely the Eternal Empire pack. It can indeed only be used once per account, however you don't need a new account for it, you just receive a code that you then enter on SWTOR.com (don't enter it on Origin!)

There is one on Amazon as well with the same restriction. If you find a physical copy of the game itself and enter the code on your account, it'll give you 30 days of gametime as well. However, it's also restricted in the same way: only one per account.

They are not the same product however so you can use 1 pack from Origin+1 pack from Amazon+the physical copy together on your account.

What you can do however, is buy a simple 60-days time card. If it's not a pack, you can buy and use more than one. You can buy them on SWTOR.com directly, in the Shop section. They can also be found on Amazon, and the physical ones might be in stores like Gamestop or BestBuy if they still carry them.

Since they're not recurring, they can be bought with other payment methods depending on your country. Buying a recurring subscription with a payment method that has a fixed amount of money on it was never possible as the system needs to know that this payment method can be reused for the renewal.

I hope this clears things up a little!
