Funny things about the republic's turret mission on Dantooine:

  • The console makes it look like you have remote control of the turret.  But you still take damage, die, and get repair bills.
  • You can die after exiting the instance.  DOTs get you.  Even if you were shielded when you exited.
  • The mission is easier for some builds than for others.  Tanks get defensive procs.  Gunslingers get slaughtered.
  • Relics proc, too.
  • The mission gets harder as you level up.  You one-shot everything but Quartermasters at level 1.  But your damage decreases with your level.  There is a limit to how many times you can abandon missions each day.  There is a video on youtube of a level 2 completing the mission with 79% health remaining.
  • The mission gets harder each time you fail.  Corpses persist between runs even if you reset the mission.  Not only can the corpses be accidentally targeted, the game will stop showing you attackers unless your graphics settings are high enough.  You can clear the corpses by logging out or abandoning the mission.
