So I know that you can subscribe for one month and become preferred but I also heard that you could make a five dollar purchase be it cartel coins or the the digital upgrade pack. I was wondering if that five dollar purchase thing was true or not. I've seen some people say you can do it but other people not even mention it as an option on other forum posts

Spending any amount of money even the $4.99 cartel coins should convert you to a preferred player status.  If it does not, simply provide your display name.
