Getting back old companions after starting KOTFE

So basically I am not a subscriber and I tried the first free chapter of KOTFE.

Now all of my old companions are gone, is there a way to get them back without the terminal? Because I can't access it unless I get to 9th chapter or so. (which I am not planning on doing)

So is it possible to maybe cancel the quest and get them back? Or the only way is to subscribe and play through the chapters?

For that character , no, there is not.

If a character has started chapter 1 , there is no way to return to pre-kotfe state that is why there is a pop up warning that starting kotfe there is no going back.

Having subbed at least 30 days now, will give you all expansions and able to level to 70.
