I just found out about the daily login rewards from social media and I'm already confused. There's no dedicated, official Sims 4 announcement explaining them on twitter (at least not that I've found), and I'm not able to access my game for a couple days so do I just...miss out on them? I'm so confused! I play the game constantly I literally have 7k hours logged and I haven't seen any clear explanation of how they work, and I have no way of checking while I'm away from my computer! If there's three items in one week, and you have to log in once per day to get them, what happens if your first login is on a Friday? Do you just miss out when the week resets if you don't have enough days? Someone please explain! Like I said, I've been playing this game since it launched on Mac, I have over 7k hours logged, I even have all the pre-order bonus content from packs that frankly, I'm not much of a fan of. And now I could be potentially missing out on items because I'm away from my desktop for a day or two? When I spend so much of my time and money on the game? Please explain!

First of all, I totally agree.
Sadly I can't help much, but this post on the sims community website explains everything we know right now and helped me feel a bit calmer about the situation:

Will this be on console as well?

For those are unaware, The Sims 4 is going to be adding Timed Events in the form of daily logins. Think of it as a Fortnite Battle Pass, where if you don't login, you are unable to obtain that item at all (unlocker mods notwithstanding). Not only is this a bad idea, it punishes players that might not have a good/unstable/no internet connection or are unable to play every day.
When you teased free stuff, this is not what many players likely had in mind. Free items should be free, full stop. Free the daily reward items!

I totally agree. Also what if you can’t login for life reasons? I am currently going to a lot of family therapy this week for 6 hours every day and it is absolutely draining. I don’t want to feel obligated to login into something that’s meant to be fun just to get some items.
i think it was utterly ridiculous to promote this as “something big” because so many people are gonna miss out on this or be annoyed by being forced to login when they don’t have time over the next few weeks.
if they really want to reward players who play the game a lot why don’t they make these items unlock based on the number of hours played? The game tracks how long you’ve spent in game and that way it also wouldn’t have to be time limited.
for example: It may take one person a week to get 10 hours and one person a month, but either way both would be able to get the item that unlocks at 10 hours eventually once they’ve played for that long (even if they wait years in between logins or something)

Not a single person ever asked for this. Sims is starting to feel like means girls... don't log in everyday? not loyal enough player to get all content. Majority of people who play the sims have real lives and jobs that don't revolve completely around the sims. I get the devs work for the sims, but the rest of us don't, and we have no time to log in every single day. But yay the sims YouTubers will be able to show their audiences items we will never get ourselves because we aren't as committed players as they are.
Feeling like a game is punishing you for not playing is, well, sad. Thanks again sims4 for reminding me that the sims is not fun any more, and won't be fun ever again.

Another bad marketing idea by EA. They noticed we're playing offline more now (after the other bad idea of the 🛒) and they thought adding this feature will bring us back to playing online... sure jan...
TS4 is not a mobile gacha game.
PS: playing offline is the only way (at the moment) to avoid the constant pushing of ads in the game.

I hate daily rewards.
This and the ad button...
How do you get a refund? That's not what I paid for.

Agree.
Bad idea. Rollback needed.
If your goal is to kill the game, sure that's the way. If not you're doing it wrong.
Don't get the reward. The only way is their stats showing hardly anyone got these. Then maybe they'll realize and start listening.
