I dont like the trade logic there is 2 parts of what I dont like the part where cpu offers maie no sens offering less then asking and no counter offer. Trade are negociation. Plus cpu to cpu make cheaper trades the when user is involved. 

part 2 is the no sens over cap for the next season, teams actually adjust in offseason so they can make a push at deadline for a stanley cup.

The values are really weird.  Sometimes the trades make sense, sometimes they really don't.

So, the basic issue here is the trade system isn't realistic, not logic. Its actually overly logical. The CPU sees that you have cap space and a team needs to free space, so they offer crappy trades, that make sense to a PC not to a person.

The second issue of the cap gap, is not something that can really be monitored by the CPU. Most of what you are talking about isn't logical and PCs can't "think" illogical.
