i had 11 keys saved up, now there's no chests in the strong holds, in stead of removing it completely, you could have given us a week to use them up and stop people being able to earn more, i didn't see anything to say , 'hey , we are stopping the chest, use your keys up.'
what is wrong with you guys, it's bad enough the loot is lacking, but you take away something earnable that was worth somewhat doing a bit of a grind for, now i see nothing but the stuff i've already done, with no decent drops to keep me playing, and then there's the store with expensive skins or over priced vinyls.... i have bought some to help the game delopement, but nope, but still just really expensive, nothing to earn in game, are you just trying to kill this game....
purchasable stuff in the store should be legendary for skins and vinyls, anything else should be in the game to grind and earn for , unless you're on gm3, then some masterwork>below skins/vinyls should be earnable in game.
They’ve been saying all along it was temporary and to not keep them. During the last live stream they reminded us they’d be going away soon, to make sure you used them. And to be honest, they were under whelming. A big fail in my book
I asked the same question on one of the other forums. I get that this was a temporary 'event', but for a game as unrewarding as Anthem has been, it seems like they could have used every last reward gimmick they could.
i knew it was temperary, but there wasn't much warning to say when it was finishing and to use up all keys, they could have taken the earning them part out first to give us time to use them up, if you could use them but not earn them, then you'd know when it was finishing, it's what i would have done.
i have opened quite a few and earned a few items, though the ratio to them for gear to mats was rubbishand down right frustrating at times.
earning armour parts and vinyls or textures should be earnable in game and special sets for purchase, they would still get cash from that side, if destiny has done it, though still unbalanced, but they make stuff earnable in game. this rng on top of rng for gear rolls is so bad, but still, with the drops i would like to get , i can't be bothered with the game so much anymore, and i have been finding no mans sky more interesting and thats saying something....

There was a tracker page in the Journal I believe, which was also accessible from the thingie near the exit from the enclave (across from Lucky Jak). It had a countdown of how many days and hours you had left, as well as how many caches you have opened.
I would imagine they will bring it back later at some point, but I would also hope they redesign it, to be honest. I think something like 60 out of 162 possible rewards were crafting materials (and it felt like the materials had a higher drop chance, too).
The number of chests one could hope to open was also highly variable depending on the time of day (and the day from the start of the event). Some people were reporting getting twenty chests opened per day in the first week, whereas towards the end there was barely anyone opening the chests at all.
In all the time I was able to play, I got about 60 chests opened, and I think about half of them were crafting materials. Out of the stuff that wasn’t crafting materials, I’d say about 80% is stuff I’m not sure I’ll ever going to use, and I almost wish there was a way to filter it out of the vinyl selection screen (since it sorts by alphabet and not by rarity). And I think I’ve read that the people who were able to open more chests than there are rewards ran into an issue where they started getting rewards that were not on the list of rewards, and those rewards were overwriting the rewards received previously.
So yea. Hopefully they’ll do it again, and hopefully it will work better next time.
