The problem with the Anthem gear visual customization is that gear you equip dont change how your Javelin looks like.
In other RPGs you start with a potato sack as armor and look mightier as more you progress.
Means gear you equip changes the way you look like.....Transmog stations (f.e. in Diablo 3) help you for the final touch.
In Anthem you edit your Javelin at the begining/mid game and don't touch it anymore....forever.
Means you dont feel any progress this way because you always look the same.
On the first sight this looks pointless......but the way your character changes opticaly during the game is one of the 4 big pillar that makes the difference between a OK and a great RPG.
Its also a rly important feature for the long term motivation.
